But it isn&#8217;t the reason not to use it. Right? <\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"We_have_one_simple_question\"><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We have one simple question. <\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Are high-frequency trading influenced based on who is paying the most?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Opponents of HFT say that it can produce big market swings. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also, that HFT may result with an advantage for institutional investors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yes, engaging some HFT firm will cost you money. But, as far as we remember, only very rich houses had a dishwasher when it entered the scene. For instance, TD Ameritrade had a 43% growth in <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">this sector in one year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And one note for the opponents of HFT. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">HFT is not a trading strategy. It is the practice of advanced technology that plays traditional trading strategies.
